Ryan Murphy is responsible for bringing more queer characters, queer actors, and queer story lines to television than anyone else in this history of television. So yeah, if you swapped that out for whatever other minority you choose, I'm pretty sure people would still be rolling their eyes at someone's needlessly bitchy virtue signaling.
