Debuting at #1 shouldn't be considered a special achievement any more. Every #1 this year so far has done it.

Still better than Drake's Lauryn Hill remix and Nicki Minaj's chinese culture appropiation anthem Chun Li.

the only time you people care about cultural appropriation is when you get to yell at someone who isn't white about it. we get it, you wish white people could do everything and you wanna leverage against them

Why are you so bitter every time? Don't take my comments so seriously.

cultural appropriation is pretty serious to a lot of people sorry if i dont think you should be using it as a weapon against an artist you don't like and then acting like it isn't an issue when it's anyone you like

Mr S

The song itself is nothing special, in fact it's actually quite mediocre lyrically. The video however is amazing.

It's impressive that it debut at #1. Will probably be big at the Grammys.

Good for him, but isn't that song pretty local? Haven't heard it even once on the radio and I live in EU.

the video is trending here in Sweden...it's a viral video, I don't even think radio in US supported the song much for it to be #1

plus didn't the OP mention that the song is #1 on Spotify WW

It's a pretty big deal still, and not everyone has done it this year.

This song is amazing, and I think he really deserves it. I think he's earned the right to be a little arrogant considering. All the greats do.

Can someone explain why the music video created such a conversation / became a moment?

Like I don't get it, it's just a silly rap song (isn't it???)

The song itself is amazing, you can listen gospel and dark urban sound in the verses and a mix of both at the end of the song. I really think is so good :triggered:
