Jessica a farmer in the prairies in frustration spoke how it took 6 months to be able to export her grains which includes peas, wheat and conola and over 50,000 Brussels. Enough produce to fill 15 rail cars

 

The root of these on going problems? Canada's inability to build Oil Pipelines due to constant opposition from BC or legal challanges from elsewhere is forcing a lot of oil to be moved by train and trucks

 

Railway space and trucks are full and that means agriculture has to compete for space

 

Jessica complained how for 6 months no one would transport her products, there simply wasn't space available anywhere

I still don't get the point of selling oil for $20/barrel discount and simultaneously harming farm industry with congesting railways all because of not building a pipeline

To be fair this usually isn't an issue in other Countries and it shouldn't have to be one here. But the environmental extremismists here in Canada have successfully blocked every major new energy infrastructure project the last several years and now this is what's happening.

 

Experts warned once pipelines were full production wouldn't stop it but it would congests other forms of transportation and affect other industries

 

Some people didn't wanna listen and kept protesting and doing everything they could to block these projects
