One of Barack Obama’s top food policy rules has escaped Donald Trump’s war on regulations.
Starting Monday, calorie counts will have to be posted at thousands of restaurants, grocery stores and movie theaters, representing a milestone change in how the food industry shares information with the American public. The rule, an oft-forgotten provision of Obamacare, is being pushed over the finish line by a Trump nominee, FDA Commissioner Scott Gottlieb, who says the labeling requirement is simply about transparency.
“I do not see these nutrition issues as a right-versus-left issue,” Gottlieb told POLITICO, noting that the obesity epidemic is a serious — and worsening — public health problem. “Using information as a vehicle to try to inspire competition is a conservative notion.

Well done. But why even bring up the issue of left or right? Can't something be good without being specifically left or right?

This is clearly the left-wing media trying to shove their progressive, artery-loving philosophy down our throats.

Resist brethren, for these are dark times in this once-Christian nation.

Very good. Eating clean and healthy feels so good in the end of the day. I try to eat clean and healthy for 2 months now and I am in perfect shape already. Fastfood has soooo freaking much calories its crazy. This is good for awareness :golfclap:

Well, it is good to those who needed it. Personally I have no use of that, only check such thing when I did grocery.

The obesity problem on the States is unbelievable. The first time I went there I couldn't believe how many obese people there are! I hope this gets solved through time!

LOL it won’t. Those doesn’t matter much here except in here, in Calif. where all these strange diet fads came from. Anyway, USA is only #12 for obesity in the world. (https://www.worldatlas.com/articles/29-most-obese-countries-in-the-world.html)

I thought they already did this :duck: Or at least I'm pretty sure loads of places in the UK already do it, I would've assumed the US got there first because they've got a bigger obesity problem
