Just a little sum up from my head:

- We are not really sure about how she changed ARTPOP. We know many songs are from 2012 and some are from 2013 but it's not likely we really know it all (There are songs like Fashion! which we really have no info of her recording it on Studio with Guetta and Will.I.Am).

- IWBWY turned into Dope somewhere after iTunes Festival, but Farhan teased that that IWBWY was recorded in January 2013, one of the last songs before the hip injury and BTWB. Dope was recorded somewhere between September-October 2013, probably one of the last songs together with "Venus" which was recorded on October 2013, around 2 weeks before the official release.

- Gaga delayed the tracklist reveal because they were probably trying to fit more songs into the tracklist.

- The "Brooklyn Nights" vs "Mary Jane Holland" fight was probably also trying to fit both into the tracklist. The later was probably "more polished" and got elected while she mentioned she wanted "more time to work on Brooklyn Nights".

- "Temple" was supposed to be on the album tracklist, Gaga explained about the song on Twitter and it didn't make the final cut (also, got me wondering if it was meant to be there instead of some other song?? but which??)

I might end up doing a thread just to kinda create a 'timeline" for ARTPOP :giggle:

Galactastica

I was iffy about IWBWY when I first heard her play it and was super relieved with Dope came out in it's place. It's a guttural, dirty, groveling song that is one of her most honest and heart filled of all. I wonder if IWBWY is so loved because it's a love letter to the fans and that is more important than the actual quality of the song/lyrics. It's super cool to hear this, but it definitely makes me glad Dope was released.

I think it's because it has Born This Way in the lyrics :poot:

I have a feeling with titles such as Temple, Venus, Aura, GUY, the theme of the ARTPOP album was originally going to be more inspired by greek mythology :lolly:

maybe the theme was mixed in combination with the Disney Princess theme:

MJH = princess of escapism

Princess DIE = princess of melancholy?

Venus = goddess of love

Gypsy = princess of travelling/ travelling troubadour/Apollo > god of Music and wine

Princess High/Stache = princess of being stoned :laughga:
