Omg this, totally.

I think jeans and a t shirt might cause some monsters to have a heart attack... but just nice, original, fashionable pieces would go down well I think. AND BROWN HAIR! Could it possibly be the era of brown hair?

I don´t necessarily share my opinion with CNN. Actually, I think the writer doesn´t understand Gaga´s logic. Probably some were captivated by her extravagant fashion, but most of us are here because of her music. And I agree that she had a rough time to get where she is now, and it´s completely unfair to even suggest that she´s some kind of YouTube sensation.

I think that the author is defining the term 'artist' in the old medium.

Todays way to paint a picture is thru the multi media view that the younger generation uses. Internet, tv, radio......

Saying she isn't an artist becasue she uses 'all' aspects of todays information hiway is simply short sighted.

She is an artist in everyway that Picasso or Jon Lenin ever were.

like a cat in a sil, I observe life, moving and still. My words give a clue, look inside to see whats true

Why do I agree with them somehow? I mean only in terms of how the public thinks of her, not the fans. We know how an amazing artist she is, but the public will always think of her as the crazy pop girl who needs attention.

THis.

Just because fashion and antics are a PART of her, it certainly doesn't take away her love and devotion for music. Stupid ****s.

I can't wait till the year she goes normal. One era where she dresses fashionably but not avant garde, brings out some incredible music, has interesting performances but isn't shocking. Goes through a whole era of being a musical goddess and nothing more, proving to these ****s that she IS an artist.

I think the same all the time.

Best thing she can do. It's kinda ironic that "not trying too hard" could be iconic and memorable for her.

I hope Anderson Cooper drags whoever wrote this article :nails:

OMG Please. :smh:

She would never become the subject of that article without her music. No matter how crazy and shocking her outfits and performances could be, she would never climb to that level of stardom without her seven number ones on the pop radio and strongly written and composed albums, which demonstrate the presence of concept.

So everybody who says that Gaga is about being famous and not about writing music is either full of sh*t or has never looked into the question deeply. The amount of passion and efforts she puts in every sound of every new record is incredible, she is always personally involved in the production process, not to mention she writes all the songs and as Garibay once said "is kind enough to put our names on the writers' column because we changed a few words in the verse". DJWS also tweeted once that they have very often come to her hotel room because of her call and she was sleeping with her had and hands over piano.

I think they just are a little pissed off that she doesn't release the albums every month like other people who need to put out new music often enough so that their names are not forgotten.

She is loved by monsters because of her music and visions, some part of general public is keen on listening to her songs because they are catchy and make you wanna burn the dancefloor, some part of the public is wondering what she has worn to the latest award ceremony.

But the majority of people are indifferent to her, but still know her name and her craziest moments. For these people she is obviously assosiated with the meat dress more than with "The Edge of Glory", but that doesn't take the artist title back from her

Author has an agenda. It’s not CNN it’s the reporter. Awhile back CNN weather boy Reynolds Wolf was trashing GaGa and then gets caught with his stan showing.

I dont see the reason for this article, we know already that a good pop star will always be famous and sell records. They have to do alot of things to sell records and make money. That's "show business". If it's selling a fragrance down to a movie appearance at the end of the day it has to be commercial. That's hollywood people. Gaga said herself she will always be pop and commercial. She's a ****ing BRAND!!!

This woman needs to write about other things and get over it..and not calling GaGa an artist??? If I was Gaga I would most defffinitely be offended.

''Is it about the music, or the Fame Monster? Rachel Weingarten wonders.''

This woman lost most possible reader respect from the start, with this statement. A professional jurnalist is never subjective.

This is the type of tacky, mean-spiritted, scandal provoking article I would expect from a news source like E!. Arogant and barely relevant blabbering about an almost entirely missunderstood music artists.

The comfort of being a Gaga fan is the knowledge that she could scrap every gimmick in the book tomorrow and comfortably release a stellar stripped back singer/songwriter album written exclusively by herself.

That's not something one can say for Michael Jackson, Madonna, Britney, Elvis, Whitney etc. and I really think that those who question her musical ability and artistry should remember that.
