1980's: Michael/Madonna/Prince

1990's: Britney/Xtina

2000's: Demi Lovato

2010's: Cardi B

Each decade has at least 1 (or more megastars). Is Cardi B the new megastar?

Let's not forget her debut album has recieved universal acclaim and it's projected to sell more than Joanne, Bodak Yellow is one of the best selling singles of all time and she was called the Queen Of Rap by British GQ magazine.

Absolutely not. Cardi needs to check her homophobic/transphobic remarks before she could even remotely become a megastar. And our megastar of the moment without a doubt is Bruno Mars. He has the elements of Michael & Elvis inside of him but he has his own unique spin to himself and I dig the sh*t out of that. He has the charisma, uniqueness, nerve, and talent of this generation and he's one of the few artists left actually creating musical masterpieces. I mean who else can take the sounds of the 70s-90s R&B,disco, and new-jack-swing,modernize it and succeed?

Plus I don't think Cardi is that immensely talented or unique. Hate to be judgmental but she doesn't have that flavor to me that makes a megastar.

Change 2000 with Rihanna and Gaga
Put Adele in 2010, and other than her, I don't think there's any new megastar yet. I really believe Cardi is just a trend at the moment and she will fade away faster than we think

This thread is satirical but in case it's not, it could be a possibility that it happens but we all need to remember how big Iggy Azalea was even her career first started and look at her now...
