What ego? It’s actually the opposite. Many people that have worked with her have said she’s very humble and gracious. Just because she doesn’t collaborate with her peers often doesn’t mean she has a huge ego, I don’t know where you’re getting that. No @ this post. Don't get me wrong, I definitely wouldn't mind seeing her collab with more people, but you can't just force a collab for no reason other than chart success. It's usually transparent. Audiences are surprisingly astute at picking up on that. Like for example, I can't imagine Joanne with forced collabs with top 40 artists with streaming heat - it would've been stupid and rang false with the softer, semi-70s nature of the album. Plus, it's not necessarily going to keep her "going" on the charts so to speak. Remember the throwaway Iggy collabs of 2014-15? Or Maroon 5 feat. SZA? She should only collaborate if she and the artist are feeling it and it's natural - it has a higher chance of actually being good that way. We want something unexpected that comes together perfectly, like Kanye featuring Daft Punk. Not a soulless and forced collaboration because she's a white pop artist looking to improve her streaming units (like the pop artists practically breaking a leg by running to Migos). And I have a feeling her looking for a real, true music connection is probably more her line of thinking as an artist instead of thinking she's too good to work with certain people. At least, that's what I think it is. That or she feels like it might not be a genuine collab. I mean, she scrapped PARTYNAUSEOUS because Kendrick ruined it, scrapped The Greatest Thing 'cause she didn't want to email her verse in and have them auto-tune it, etc. In order for her to collab with someone, it'll have to be a Hey Girl type thing. She and Florence worked together, in person, with Mark (and whoever else worked on HG ) and they crafted something personal. She likes to be genuine with her craft where as most artists out here, even ones that beg for a Gaga collab, are totally fine with just delivering a product and cashing in on it.
