HAPPY 74th BIRTHDAY TO A TRUE LEGEND, MISS DIANA ROSS

 

Diana Ross joined the music industry in 1959 with her group The Primettes, later renamed The Supremes in 1961 (a named Diana originally HATED), after they signed a contract with Motown. They were also later renamed Diana Ross & the Supremes in 1967. 

While Diana was part of the Supremes and Diana Ross & the Supremes, the group scored 18 top 10 hits, all between 1964 and 1969. Diana left the group in January of 1970. The Supremes went on to earn two more top 10 hits without her that year. Their last single together was "Someday We'll be Together", focused on the group's split.
