His only song to date that is tolerable AND enjoyable. News is that X-Tina will be shooting the video for her new single Love Your Body (I believe that is the name, but I'm not sure) on August 16 (Madonna's Birthday ) and August 17 and judging by some of the Twitter (I know, not a reliable source :toofloppy:) hype, it seems like it will be Dirrty 2.0 (the video) . Seeing as Dirrty peaked at #48 on the Hot 100, I don't know if this song will perform well because, as you can all remember, Not Myself Tonight was doing very well before the video release and, after the video came out, it's chances of performing well were killed. I hope X-Tina learned her lesson, and does a more tame video, because the general public did not react so well to the Dirrty and Not Myself Tonight videos. The song is being produced by Max Martin (3, ...Baby One More Time, Oops!...I Did It Again, If U Seek Amy, Stronger, - Dr. Luke is basically his protege), so I expect a commercial, radio-friendly song. It is a good song and has a great video, but the GP reacted negatively to it (due to its overtly s-xual and crass nature) and it damaged GREATLY the songs chart performance, as I mentioned previously, it didn't even make the top 40. And Not Myself Tonight was also a song that had plenty of potential and, once the video was released (another video that was overtly s-xual and crass), all those chances disappeared. It was like a repeat of what happened when the Dirrty video was released. I'm just saying that I hope X-Tina realizes that she can't have those REALLY s-xual videos if she doesn't want her songs to suffer chart and sales wise. Like, Madonna always knew how to use s-xuality powerfully yet subtly enough so that she constantly held the public's interest but never overdid it. She went far, but not too far, and was far more graceful in using s-xuality. Gaga is the same way. Christina just thinks that if she goes all-out slut that she's doing it right, but she just doesn't get it. edit: did Katy really discount Wide Awake three days after I bought it? Goddammit.
