Ozzy8923 9
Red One goes Hip-Hop: RedOne has produced chart-topping hits for pop’s biggest stars, and now the hitmaker is joining forces with hip-hop’s reigning label, Cash Money Records. The Grammy-winning producer, songwriter, and musician, whose credits include Lady Gaga’s “Poker Face,†Nicki Minaj’s “Starships,†and Jennifer Lopez’ “On the Floor,†has inked a deal with Ronald “Slim†and Bryan “Baby†Williams to bring his 2101 Records to Cash Money under the Universal Music Group umbrella. You have got to be kidding me. I sincerely hope that Gaga forever abandons this producer. :pukey:
craig 680
http://www.billboard...007699152.story Katy and Rihanna now tied for most pop radio #1s at 8, 1 ahead of Gaga. Gaga only appears to be slipping because of how Katy and Rihanna keep flooding the market with songs. But if you look closely at sales and streaming, demand for K and R is slipping from oversaturation. It's normal to have 2 or 3 hits from an album and 5th singles that don't do well. It's unprecedented to have a string of smash singles from one era like Katy (but the 5th-8th haven't done much for her album sales or tour profits). Kylie had streaks of 13 and 16 top 10 UK singles, but never released more than 4 there from one album. Edited August 1, 2012 by craig

Americano 31,061
Rihanna does need to be careful, her Talk That Talk numbers are really troubling for her. She built so much international appeal during 'Loud,' rivaling Lady Gaga's unmatched global influence, and then erased all of it during TTT's era with tanking global numbers outside of the US/UK. Because of that, Gaga easily maintains her #1 worldwide appeal spot. Edited August 1, 2012 by Americano

Nicki is on Cash Money and listen to the songs he did with her. Porcelain Black also has ties to YMCMB, which is most likely how this deal came about. Cherry 17
People also forget that Cash Money is responsible for two pop stars in the past, Kevin Rudolf and Jay Sean. So basically Porcelain will get one hit at best and then disappear forever. Edited August 1, 2012 by Cherry

Oyemiamor 40
Rick Ross returns this week’s HITS Album chart to a semblance of sanity. The large and in-charge rapper continues Def Jam/IDJ’s recent dominance of the marketplace with God Forgives, I Don’t, which will debut next week with between 200-220k in sales, easily going #1. His last album, Teflon Don, sold 176k upon release in July 2010. Previous label winners include Nas, who debuted at #1 last week, and newcomer Frank Ocean, with a #2 bow last month for his acclaimed debut, channel ORANGE. S-Curve soul diva Joss Stone’s The Soul Sessions Vol. 2 reunites her with Steve Greenberg, and it’s on tap for between 21-25k, based on one-day sales reports from those music retailers not summering at their homes in the Hamptons or Laguna. Emblem/Reprise/WB country music group Gloriana’s sophomore album, A Thousand Miles Left Behind, is looking at first-week sales of between 18-21k. Veteran Nuclear Blast Berkeley thrash band Testament’s tenth studio album, Dark Roots of Earth, is looking at between 15-18k. RCA’s Sparkle soundtrack, featuring the last recorded music by the late Whitney Houston and Jordin Sparks, is looking at 13-16k, in front of the movie’s Aug. 17 opening. Cherry 17
Well we'll see where things go for her now that she's with Cash Money. They have a very bad track record but they can normally manage at least one hit out of anybody they push hard enough.
