that's what this fanbase did during the Joanne era :madge:

Joanne is a good album, though.

I’m surprised there wasn’t more of that during ARTPOP. However, I wasn’t a fan at that time, so I’m not sure. Did it happen then, too?

Moreover, he was able to get two different Grammys this year without even attending the ceremony (talent).

But was it talent? :oprah:

Joanne is an amazing album

from what i heard, this website was chaos during ARTPOP

a lot of problematic members having meltdowns thinking they can insult gaga with the excuse "a real fan isn't always nice to her"

if you go back to that era on this website, you can see some of the meltdowns and drama but don't bump anything

He's been big in the UK for like 7 years consistently so I don't think he's going anywhere here at least :laughga: Worst case scenario he won't be a big artist worldwide maybe, but he'll pretty much always be huge here I think :music:

I looked at his chart history in the UK, and it’s honestly pretty remarkable.

To be fair, he has done well in the USA during those 7 years as well. I don’t see him going anywhere either (unless he takes a voluntary exit from the industry).

That’s honestly awful. :(

Do you think Ed will ever have an ARTPOP era?

He has a “natural aptitude” to snatch Grammys  with a single phone call. She is a working woman who gets what she wants:classy:

He was able to be longer relevant in pop music‘s universe than Lady Gaga‘s Born This Way proclamation was relevant in this fan base.

I mean he’ll be remembered but not as an icon, just a successful singer

Ed Sheeran might sell more, especially now, but Gaga took cues from icons past, and you can really see it, while maintaining what makes her HER. She created amazing visuals like the video for Telephone that people still talk about to this day. She shocked and captivated when she first came out. Gaga in my opinion is the definitive late 00s-early 00s icon, the first true millennial sensation. Ed Sheeran has nothing that makes him particularly special, and even though it was a big hit, his first song The A Team was unremarkable. It’s impressive that he’s lasted all this time and has won awards, but he will not be discussed like Gaga will in 20 years or even 10 years.
