It is almost piercing in it's tone. Whitney's vocal range was a powerful mid range. It was full and felt "thick". But Gaga can most definitely slay songs like "I wanna dance with somebody" and "I Look To You" and I can imagine her cute The Cure vocals on Heartbreak Hotel.
