she's not diminishing someone else's talents in that video though so idk how that's relevant also weren't you trying to drag SZA for a tweet back in 2011? :oprah:

No, I wasn't. It was someone else and somebody asked for the receipt, I just delivered.

And it's relevant to the comment I was referring to because the user said it would be pretentious to say that your are talented.

I can’t stand the fact that this tweet went viral like they could have acknowledged Gaga talents too but this person clearly doesn’t know anything about Gaga so they assume she has no talent and didn’t do anything to get famous. Screw those ill knowledged people. DO UR HOMEWORK ON HER BEFORE YOU JUDGE HER! 😡😡😡

you responded with the video to their second point was about donald being misogynistic, not pretentious :awkney:

it was sexist because he put down a woman's talents in order to make a point which he could have done without the dragging but you seem to finding any way to defend it since you also said his statement was another reason to stan him

he can talk about racism and leave out the rudeness, i would have thought someone like you would know that since you seem to be "woke" :bye:

Sis, just a few days ago a quote came out about him saying he "cums harder" when a white woman he's having sex with calls him the n-word. Childish Gambino has been KNOWN to say some pretty misogynistic and trash statements, while still trying to appear :woke:

I'm not going to pretend that Lady Gaga isn't pretentious at times or that she hasn't said or done anything that shouldn't be subject to scrutiny, BUT, there is no reason for him to downplay her as somebody less talented than himself or that she seemingly doesn't deserve her success. That's bullshit.

The user reverted my both points and I kept that format so my comment couldn't be used out of context.

Also, I'm not claiming or never have claimed to be "woke", but what he said might be rude to some people or exaggerated but it's in no way misogynistic, as he wasn't referring to her gender but her race more specifically. He could also have used Justin Timberlake as an example.

1. These all seem pretty old. When I criticized Gaga for some things it's called "changing your mind" or "evolving" but when it's a man (or just not Gaga for that case, GGD doesn't give a f***).

2.

EDIT: the nerve of the author to write about him being problematic, but then defending Lena Dunham. :rip:

You're quoting Gaga being ironic on stage, ok. Please, go watch the whole footage because she was mocking the celebrity culture we live in right now where people idolize instagram users.

My point is that he didn't have to diminish Gaga like he did just to make a point about race. He clearly doesn't know her and he's implying by his comments that she doesn't deserve the success that she has.

but it is sexist because she is a woman and we been knew already how hard women have it in this industry and they've already been told they need to "step it up" even tho they've worked hard af

So what you are saying is that criticizing women shouldn't be allowed because it would be misogynistic.

Not only you’re missing the whole point of that speech (where she’s actually mocking the “insta famous” culture we’re living) but using it as an attempt to drag Gaga and failing at it.

The second hand embarrassment is real.

Where is the whole video of it?

misunderstood

I still don’t understand why you all are so bothered about this girl’s tweet or what Gambino said. He has the right to his opinion and can think what he wants. You all can disagree with him and her as much as you want but it’s confusing that you guys need to validate how talented Gaga is when we all know she is. You shouldn’t have to try and convince others because some people just won’t think the same as us.
