Eros92 2,513
Anyone else see the movie back in 2015? I watched it recently and the movie has some SERIOUS bops. Like this first off. It's like if Gaga and Sia had a musically gifted child lol But yeah I wasn't really sure where to post this. Unlike the Cheetah Girls (who were a real group outside their movie) Jem and the Holograms aren't. But still the soundtrack is full of good music! Retron 2,605
...There was a Jem movie in 2015? I had no idea. "ultimately grossing only $2.3 million worldwide" And apparently no one else did, either. That song's alright, tho!
PunkTheFunk 124,403
It flopped for a reason

I think it flopped because it mostly strayed away from the source material and lets be honest, only 80's and MAYBE 90's kids knew about Jem. So really it's a shame it flopped. But the music is good and the story isn't as bad as people make it out to be.
RAMROD 109,165
I mean, choices, hunty. Choices That movie should never existed. It ruins JEM legacy for us who grew up with it. The way Avatar The Last Air Bender movie does too!

I mean I never really watched the original show regularly much but I casually did as kid and was pumped about the movie. I sadly didn't get around to see it till now and after watching the movie I was re interested in the cartoon again and thankfully Netflix has the entire series. Also, they published a comic series in 2015 thats still going and I started reading that as well. If anything the movie could have provided a bigger audience for the source but sadly it wasn't up to par with what the original was. But I mean it's still a gorgeous looking movie and Aubrey Peeples does a great job as Jerrica and delivers some good vocals. Its not everyones cup of tea but it's cute. LaLuna 12,732
No, because I was obsessed with Jem when I was little, I've heard the movie is atrocious and I refuse to let it ruin my childhood memories.

dlioncourt91 765
This movie was complete garbage. Totally was everything Jem was not. The cartoon dealt with so much more that the film did not choose to explore and rewrote just to be another cookie cutter "singer faces issues, leaves friends, lonely, finds herself" movie we've seen hundred of times. The best thing about it was Kesha playing Pizzazz and the Misfits at the end. There's a reason it got booted from theaters after only two weeks. Jem was not a Sia/Gaga hybrid. Seeka 12,372
I remember the movie. I know I didn't watch it because so few live action adaptations of anything animated work out well. Like the only successful one I can think of is Scooby Doo.
