So a second season is expected to be released this year. Personally, season 1 was one of the best series I have seen in a long time and I can't wait for the story to go on. So I thought we could collect our ideas, anticipations etc. in this thread.

What do you think is going to happen in season 2? Will they explore the topic of mass shootings in the US? Should they? What happened to Alex? Did he commit suicide or was he shot? Will the parents listen to all the tapes? How will the school react to the tapes? How will the lawsuit turn out? Given that Katherine Langford is confirmed to be back as Hanna Baker, what will Hanna's role be in season 2? Will Bryce get what he deserves? ???????????ßßß??ßß??ßß??ß

they've set themselves a really high bar for me, i adore high school drama things like 90210 and this one was brutal and didn't hold back, i was hooked

it's a shame the show now comes with a controversial tag line because people with histories of depression, suicidal thoughts, rape etc decided to call it out but the show does give a big warning if an episode contains sensitive content

anyways, i think school shootings is a very likely topic for S2 but i hope S2 isn't that predictable

it is set to be released in 2018. No specific date has been announced thus far, but they finished filming on Oct 15 of 2017.

i wonder if they'll do a surprise release or a quick release: drop a trailer and release the season a week or so after

I'm wondering if the deposition tapes will be the narrators for this season. Otherwise, I really hope they don't go off the rails and try to out do the first season.

I heard that they were gonna do a retelling of S1 but from the perspective of one of the other characters involved in the tapes?? Idk if it’s true but that sounds bad lmao

I’d rather see a continuation and see how things move forward.

Netflix has really been serving lately though with series like Dark so I think it will be good!
