NotMyFlop 1,979 Posted February 21, 2018 Share Posted February 21, 2018 have you guys seen this mess? twitter started banning bots (in particular russian bots) and some conservative commentators ended up losing THOUSANDS of followers. naturally, people freaked out as it is twitter protocol () and people are claiming their is a “war on conservatism” anywho, thoughts? i think it’s funny that liberal commentators lost followers, too, but just not as many. it should be a wake-up call to everyone about how prominent the bots were & how they could’ve and still do affect american politics. twitter did the right thing. these conservative commentators should be happy their follower count now represents their true base. maybe they’ll ban all bots too and we can see how many the celebrities lose. I see bogus conservative accounts on Instagram all the time posting fake propaganda. Yes, I'm sure there are liberal accounts too.. What the Russian bots does are very dangerous and each of us have been their victims regardless if you are Democrat or Republican.
