For some shows, in particular the HIStory Tour, he had laryngitis. (he still chose to perform and dance even tough he was ill, a true King). Other times, the shows were too exhausting and physically demanding, so he focused on the dancing and the performance side of things. He only started to lip-sync around the Dangerous Era (early 90's.). Around this time, he was above the age of 32, performing 2 hour plus shows day after day, and having a lot of pressure on him. The families that accused him were in it for money and the D.A. who was out to get him was a known racist and had a personal vendetta against Michael.
