Pure Heroine or Melodrama

Melodrama by far. It's an album that has changed my life. I think the last time I felt this way about an album it was Born This Way. It really is a masterpiece and it's just a beautiful work. I was a casual listener around the time Pure Heroine came out and I do love some of the songs on it but I don't feel that attached to it as I do with her latest.

I don’t get the Melodrama hype even though I love it :triggered:

It’s like those times you start enjoying a song and you look around and everybody’s bopping their *** to it and you’re like « mess even I don’t find it that good »

Pure Heroine is kinda boring to me though :/

Melodrama is cute, it has a nice feel, the songs aren’t WOWOOWOWOW good but they do give a warm feeling pop music doesn’t usually achieve to give you

No shade but can some explain the 91 on metacritic to me :neyde: I can see it as an 80 (which is still a huge feat, so I'm really not trying to shade). I just don't get the acclaim idk. Like compared to Lemonade for example

cus you can just feel the magic when listening to it, each song is beautifully crafted

i hadn't heard an album like that in a long time and i actually disliked lorde until then

Melodrama is my answer, BUT Pure Heroine is too good to just be brushed aside like that. They're almost equal in my mind, and the only reason Melo edges out in my mind is cuz I enjoy all of its songs while on PH I like them all except Still Sane... with just these two albums Lorde has put out so much good music, it's insane. Her and Gaga are the most exciting artists at this point in time to me. So pressed for whatever she does next.

Honestly same. When Green Light came out, something changed within me. I was also just a casual fan, but when the album finally came out it was such a unique and rewarding journey. I have since dived into all her prior work and fell in love as well.

Can't wait to see her in April

Melodrama

I knew Lorde was talented, but didn't really give her the time of day until the singles started rolling out. I was mesmerized.

3 points in and ready for more

Every song in pure heroine is singleworthy and they can stand on their own. But the beauty with melodrama is that when listened altogether, the intricate story and emotion is so poweful. Cant wait for her 3rd effort
