I mean if she’s saying the truth then its no different than Dr Luke still getting money from Kesha’s new stuff right?

And from Katy, Kelly Clarkson, Jlo, Pink, Britney and Nicki tracks. If you really want to make a scene you should stop listening to anything he has ever produced. I'll leave that one up to the OP ;)

Whilst im here check out the song in question

:staymad:

The hardest thing in this world is to live in it

I think this is more comparable to Fergies A Little Work, he was credited and then his credit was removed. Luke no longer gets money from Kesha I believe cause his contract with Sony expired.

Iggy used some old 2013 beat that was produced by Circuit as a base for the song and then reworked it with other producers. Because Circuit has some contract with Dr Luke he was temporarily credited too. Essentially though she didn't work with either of them.

Drag me I don't care, it'd be foolish to disagree that he's an amazing and really talented producer. I know what he did as a person is disgusting and I'm against all of this. But he already was convicted for what he did (I guess?) so we shouldn't be hateful. he's just doing his work

I repeat dont get me wrong, I'm totally against everything he did toward Kesha and he won't be forgiven for this, but that doesn't change the fact that he's a hell of a songwriter.

What he did was inexcusable. No ifs, ands or buts about it. :crossed:

However, Iggy doesn't deserve to get dragged for this. Dr. Luke has legal connections with her label, so that's why he appears in the song's credits. I doubt Iggy had the ability to remove him from it all.

lol excuses, even if she didn't actually sit next to him and worked on this song.. he's getting money every time you stream it.. so you either boycott this song and don't give Luke royalties, or you give up on what you believe in and listen to this song.. simple..

Wouldn't that mean that streaming more than half of Katy's discography is wrong? :emma:

The thing is, by doing so, you’re actively supporting a rapist. I think that’s the issue with this. Nobody is denying his talents, but when you’re a rapist, it doesn’t matter if you’re the most talented person in the world.

Last week, Iggy Azalea released a new single called “Savior,” a bubbly track featuring Quavo that interpolates Lisa Stansfield’s 1989 hit “All Around the World.” The song received a Super Bowl ad placement and was met with a relatively warm reception—surely a relief for Azalea, who saw her 2017 singles (“Switch” and “Mo Bounce”) flop so badly that her sophomore album Digital Distortion was called off altogether. Azalea needs a savior herself, but the story of her new single is far from simple.

Ahead of the song’s release, fans noticed an unexpected name listed in the songwriting credits: Lukasz Gottwald, a.k.a. Dr. Luke, who’s become a public pariah in the years since since Kesha accused him of rape and abuse in 2014. Once the most celebrated songwriter and producer in the world, Luke has essentially been exiled from pop music, logging only a few minor credits in 2017 on songs by artists like Ne-Yo, Trey Songz, and Big Boi. When questioned by a fan who first spotted Luke’s name in the “Savior” credits available on Tidal, Azalea distanced herself and her new song from the disgraced producer. “It’s produced by [Cirkut] and another kid MHL who have production agreements with Luke,” she wrote in a now-deleted February 1 tweet, which was captured by the blog That Grape Juice. “Their deals and who they are tied in business wise in no way make ME ‘working’ with Dr Luke. Try again.” Azalea’s clarification amplified news of the alleged mistake, which subsequently found its way to outlets including Pitchforkand Idolator.

Song CANCELLED. Iggy CANCELLED. Cirkut CANCELLED. :bye:

Weird, you ask if he produced the song, the article obviously says she didn't work with him, but you still say the song is cancelled

That was the title of the article, not my question. The article suggests that the pseudonym could correspond to Dr Luke, and it's quite possible 'cause you often find those 2 producers in the same songs (Cirkut and Luke).

And yes, the song it's cancelled 'cause first of all, it's a bad mediocre song. And second, it's very hypocritical of Iggy Azalea to be using instrumentals produced by those 2 when she was "supporting" Kesha.
