And she wrote Just Another Day by herself. Bad Kids you can tell she wrote by herself. If the booklet says otherwise then I'll be shocked.

seriously, how can Gaga fans still argue about artists with too many writers. Of course they will say "but Gaga is super humble and gives credits even if someone only adds one word", but are unable to say the same about other artists.

Some people are extraordinary song writers but can't sing that well or don't have the stamina to be a star. What's wrong with working with your strength and helping someone with a weakness of theirs?

I mean that different people like different artists for different reasons. So you're judging JB as an artist on his songwriting abilities, but that's just one aspect of the craft. I can also judge Adele for not dancing and J.Lo for not singing about politics.

But no one is criticizing his songwriting abilities because he's not writing songs. That's the issue. Dancing is always a plus when is comes to singers but not the main point. And it doesn't matter what you sing about as long as it's coming from somewhere (hopefully from within yourself and not from within 15 other songwriters)

Anyone we can compare to Gaga is always going to fall short. Kinda why were all on this forum. 

As someone said we like artists for different reasons. Katy makes me dance and feel young and silly, she's not a great vocalist. Gaga gives me vocals and performance, not dancing. Tove Lo gives me song writing, not vocals. You see what i'm saying? 

People can be talented in so many ways that we shouldn't discredit someone just because they lack in one area. It's very rare to have a dancer, vocalist and songwriter. In fact I barely know any.

Again, I really get where you guys are coming from, but simply because we stan a talented songwriter doesn't mean that that's the only way to be an artist. I guess we're just kinda spoiled with our fave, but we should try to not be snobbish about it and judge other artists for having a different take on their career.

But some artists don't and that's okay. It's up to them. I don't really care.

Does it matter that much though if you write most of your songs or not?

Do you know how many writers and producers contributed to the iconic gay anthem, Believe by Cher? Or  have you ever read the lines and lines of song writes and contributors on every Whitney Houston's albums credits? Does that make them less iconic and erase their impact and talent altogether? The answer is no.

It is good if there's artist who write their own lyrics and produce their own music, but majority people in pop music industry doesn't do that.

It's shocking but sadly, not unusual. You'll find that the more generic and "of the moment" that the song is is usually in direct correlation with how many more writers it has. Such hit fodder has to be made by a team of researchers and professionals to ensure the public catch on, after all.

I remember that the worst one I ever saw was Don't Wake Me Up by Chris Brown, with a whopping 13 writers, including Chris. But then I read up on Hold Up by Beyonce, which had 16 writers, including her. Recently, Strip That Down by Liam Payne has 15 writers as well. It doesn't matter in cases like this, if the artist's name is included, though. When there is that much assistance, you are not in control of your music and cannot truly claim that you played a significant part in the song.
