I always knew that northern England wasn't exactly known for its acceptance of diversity, but I'm just, so terrified now. I will never go to a Pride event for personal reasons, but people shouldn't feel afraid to do so. It's very sad this still exists today - people wanting to kill gays. But nobody will actually care. Unfortunately. I assume protected class equals white? I mean a majority, if not all, outlets have stated he was a white supremacist. His race wasn't brushed under the rug this time nor was it used to elevate him, so not sure how your post applies in this specific situation. There's been plenty of racial injustice in the UK and this one doesn't seem to fit the bill imo. It's been reported by several media outlets, he's going to receive a large prison sentence and will also be added to the register. Other than physically harming him I'm not sure what form of punishment you would call for really?
