SDG91 373
I have been wanting to see Katy Perry pretty much since she first came out, but never had the chance, for one reason or another. On Saturday, February 3rd, I FINALLY got to experience my first Katy Perry concert! I saw her at the Tacoma Dome, the same venue as JWT. I was in section 17A, the same section I was in for Justin Bieber back in 2012, where he had the same opening act, Carly Rae Jepsen. Pretty funny. This time, though, I was a little closer, as I was in row 11. I was surprised at how close my seats were! We were on the left side of the arena, pretty much right across and a little to the right of her walkway stage area, where she spent a lot of time. I would HIGHLY recommend this show to anyone. I know that over the last few months, we have all been making fun of her and calling it her "flop" era, but honestly, I don't know why she's flopping, I really enjoy the album and the concert was great! This is 100% just my opinion, but if I had to describe it, I'd say it was like a mix of Miley's Bangerz tour and Gaga's Artrave tour, though it was definitely less dirty than both. I was actually surprised by how clean it was (even in "Hot and Cold", she didn't sing b****, she let the audience choose to sing it, though many said girl instead ). The audience was VERY young for the most part, which might explain why it was so clean. I've been to many concerts, and I've gotta say, I've never seen someone in her genre put on such a family-friendly show. I was really quite surprised. And here I was, just a few months before, telling the parents in the Facebook event that they probably shouldn't bring their kids...oops... I've gotta say though, there were some really, IMO, "Gaga" moments. The most for me was when she sang the second song, "Roulette", which to me sounds similar to "I Like it Rough", and she also wore a red hooded outfit and sunglasses, somewhat like 2008ga. There were many amazing moments throughout the show. I really liked that she took the time to talk to the audience throughout the concert and brought people on stage with her. I was very impressed overall, and thought her vocals and dancing have improved tremendously since she started. I still don't think she's anywhere near Gaga vocally, but much better than I was expecting. Seriously though, I know she's done in the USA now, but if she's coming to your city/country anytime, I'd recommend seeing it.

Tresor 1,649
tickets were like $25 in Boston, I probably should have gone. Katy is at least worth that.
SDG91 373
lol yeah there are probably many tickets left in most cities . Honestly though, I'm not sure why more people didn't care this time around. But then again, it was kind of the same situation with Artrave, at least in my city, and Gaga was at an even smaller venue.
