Gaga Is One Step Ahead of Us

I can 100% understand the conception that Gaga lost her creativity. If you look at her performances in 2009-2010, every single one had an artistic edge. Even her more stripped down performances still had that Gaga touch. I was binge-watching her performances like her BRIT Telephone/DITD, VMA's Paparazzi, AMA's Do What U Want, etc. And then I watched The Cure @ AMA's, Joanne/MR at the Grammy's, her entire JWT There's a clear difference between them, the former are like big, theatrical stories that Gaga is known for and the latter are simply visual performances that look and sound good. But they just don't feel "memorable" or "iconic" if that makes sense. Like yeah, the Joanne World Tour is well put together and visually appealing but really cant compare to the theatrics of BTWB and Monster Ball.

So my theory is that Gaga is a step ahead of us. We all know that Gaga is someone who constantly changes her look and personality to shock us even more. What if the Joanne era was the ultimate shock? Like, Gaga has always been controversial, and her wearing the croptop and shorts for PI was definitely controversial among this fanbase. Then she strips herself down to a cowgirl... and then 6 months later, BAM, she headlines the halftime show with glitter, pyrotechnics, costume changes, classic Gaga. And yet we were all shook, we were all honestly lowkey expecting a super stripped down Halftime show.. its almost like she lowered our expectations to shock us again. And then there's the Cure. This is a song that I thought Gaga would never release, its really generic. But isn't that what makes it controversial among us? Like, wow did Gaga really just do that? And maybe when Gaga releases the LG6 lead, we will think... "wow THIS IS SO MUCH BETTER THAN HER LAST SINGLE!"

If Gaga kept the theatrics up through her ENTIRE career, people would be bored. Just look at ARTPOP. If every single performance she did was her bleeding or getting barfed on, people would roll their eyes. Its almost like Britney Spears or Beyonce - every performance they do is impressive IMO, but in the long run its "just another Britney/Bey performance" because they are all just really similar. Instead, she (no offense) bores us with acoustic performances so that when she does want to shock us, the shock will feel brand new and fresh, not recycled. Instead of being tired of it, we will crave it. What if, instead of Joanne, she followed with maybe another TFM or BTW? Yeah it sounds good on paper, but the reality is, people would be like "stop. we've had enough avant garde pop. We're tired of her controversy and wierd outfits." Now that the Joanne era is over, there is a chance that Gaga will completely change her image once again. And maybe we've become so used to stripped down Gaga that when she explodes onto the scene again with LG6 with theatrics, concepts and iconic videos, the world will be shook once again.

Something big is coming!!!! But I think she should take some time (1-2 years) before releasing the next album.:trollga:

I want her to take her time to rest and make a great masterpiece.

I don't know, I think is more about media focus than Gaga's choices. Pop music is not on its peak anymore. I remember TV news announcing the release of Bad Romance music video, the hype was amazing... it's not happening anymore.

2008 was the reborn of pop music, when Gaga, Katy Perry, Rihanna were on the peak: music videos were irrelevant until they started to make massive videos again... the VMAs, the Grammys and other awards shows where massive again cause they (Gaga the most for me) made massive performings...

But that peak ended, it's not about Gaga it's about the moment. The paparazzi perform of the VMA's is one of the most iconic moments of Pop music im MY life but it's not just because Gaga it's because how was the world at that moment.

I don't know if I can transmit my point in english since I didn't speak it well  but I don't think it deppends of Gaga.

EDIT: AND I want to add maybe she will do an amazing record and we love it but we shouldn't wait the same social impact. It's not like she's not capable of do amazing things, it's just they're not gonna have the 2010 impact.

All I want is an era that's so dark and demonic, it gets condemned by the Catholic Church

But we're probably going to get an album dedicated to her great-grandfather

Yeah I get what you mean. But I also think that, while the next era won't have the huge impact on pop culture like The Fame did, she can still give us the visuals and theatrical shows next era.

Yeah I just editted the post hahaha that could be of course, I was amazed with the interludes of JWT for example, they gave me TFM feelings!

In Joanne era interviews she's alluded to the fact that she will be CrazyGa again someday. It's almost inevitable. I would bet anything her next album will be a concept album, and I bet it will be next-level production value (I'm thinking something in the same realm as Lemonade) in terms of fashion, music and visuals. I think she had to strip it down and release something that was the antithesis of ARTPOP to reconnect with the musical basics but at the end of the day, Gaga knows she is a performance artist I know she will bring those theatrics back. It won't necessarily look or feel like another TFM, but it also definitely won't look like another Joanne.

Dark Anatomy

Well at this point she's 3 stripped down eras in...

Cheek to Cheek era

Tribute era

Joanne era

Plus she's got the ASIB era coming up.

I think the world is SO ready for a return to classic Gaga.
