You don't know Melech's intentions and to accuse them of wanting to change people's perception of Islam just because they're reporting a lot of issues related to the topic is rude and unnecessary.

 

 I've worded and explained why. I didn't just come out of the blue screaming "islamphobia islamophobia" sis It took a while of noticing a common and constant pattern with this specific member BUT he says he isn't islamophobic. SO we should go by what he is saying. In my experience most islamaphobes tend to be loud and proud of it lol

my point being that when there are threads done about anti muslim sentiments or crimes done by muslims it's by this one member. I didn't say he doesnt post anything else. I just mentioned that 90% of the threads that are often made about muslims on here are from him (and they are always negative) someone who has high anti muslim sentiments in general.

I meant naive in the endearing sense..I also said you were very well intentioned  but if you choose to take feaux offence at everything I have nothing more to say to you. You clearly had your mind set right when you entered this discussion meaning there is no point in further conversation. oh and if you were to stop quoting me then perhaps I'd stop answering?

Muslims need to go through an "enlightenment period" just like christians went through it. I know Islam is a new religion in comparison to Christianity so it will happen much later but things need to progress and right now it feels like it is regressing (at least in some parts of the world). Then again we got crazy Christians in the bible belt of the US killing LGBTQ and black ppl yearly so it seems there still needs to be work done in every major religion...ugh it's so complicated. 

THIS is what is wrong with our culture right now. A group of people murdered a woman, someone talks about it, and the person is said to be racist. WHY do we always throw the race card? Why do we always take away from the real problem? A woman was murdered, and we jump to silly assumptions that a member is biased.

Lets start thinking about the REAL victims here; like the poor children who just lost their mother to a group of evil men. That’s what happened here, and that’s what was reported.

until somebody posts receipts of the OP generalizing islam because of the actions of a few rotten apples, they're not islamphobic as far as i've seen. these kinds of topics are something this user commonly posts about and not like they can choose who committed the crime

Once again could you plz read through the rest of the thread? I didn't just come at call the member biased out of the blue. There is a pattern from this one member that has been very obvious. It could of been on any other thread. Chose to call him out on it today though after seeing far too many examples of this behavior. Sorry if it bothers you? This isn't one of those cases you just listed above about pulling the race card out of thin air.

but you lowkey have pulled it out of thin air, look at the users thread list  a tiny minority are topics about islam and muslim so you've only decided to pay attention to certain topics and act like it means they're anti-islam

I do get what you are saying, but the member has EVERY right to report on what he deems fit. And to be even more honest, maybe he DOES feel the Islamic culture is causing a lot of violence. And he can feel that way. There is a difference between addressing, what he thinks is a problem, and hating a group of of people. There is a huge problem with Aboriginal violence and unemployment in my area and I think it is important that awareness is made. Does that mean I’m against Aboriginal people? No. I’m reporting the facts and hoping for change. There are many members on here who have a problem with Christianity. Does that mean they hate all Christians? No, but they have the right to raise issues into light and talk about what could be changed.

He word is not as cut and dry as you are making it out to be. People don’t have to be racist or against other people just because they notice an issue. 

OR, maybe he just reports stuff and isn’t even thinking about the race of the people.

Either way, the fact that people feel defensive or hatred for Muslim people does not take away from the fact that a woman was killed and that is not right. That isn’t a race thing, that’s a humanity thing and that’s what should be the focus right now.
