Mus 7,883
“You have to honor your vomit” Her way of not caring for what others say about her art/work and staying true to yourself and in what you believe is something I admire a lot in her and inspired me to do the same in my life. Also to love myself the way I am, and to evolve as a person too What’s in a reverse-warholian expedition?
DiscoStyx 3,355
I realized during summer 2016. I had a pretty hard, tiring job. I was away from everyone (friends, family), I literally spent all my time riding the bus to and from work (3hrs everyday) and at my workplace. And at this time, I was so lonely and depressed, I only had Gaga with me in my heart. She was the reason I continued doing it. I was literally living for her. (So when P.I was announced on August 17 I finally wanted to live again, really ) "When you are lonely, I'll be lonely too." cause of death: gaga singing along perfect illusion on BBC Radio
Ronk 14,762
1/1/2015 is when Gaga's message of unconditional kindness finally sunk in and impacted my life. 1/1/2014 was promote online kindness day. Participants were asked to do several tasks that day and follow through during the year. I participated, and that year on twitter and elsewhere, I posted many inspirational quotes about kindness. But that same year, I was not following Gaga's message. I made a personal attack here on GGD against someone I deemed to be a hater, but instead of debating the issues I made terrible attacks on that person's character. The supposed hater responded "ur mean". Also, two journalists in different parts of America were making up terrible things about Gaga, obviously to rile up their audience and harm her reputation. I posted in their publications, where I thought their bosses would see it, an explanation of how unprofessional they are, how they give journalism a bad name, and how they lower their publications to the level of a tabloid. I was hoping to get them fired, not caring if they had family members depending on their salary to put food on the table. On 1/1/2015 there was no promote online kindness day, but I realized my earlier actions were the opposite of how Gaga would want anyone to behave. Gaga's message is to be kind always, even to unkind, rude people. That changes the narrative. Haters take notice when they are treated kindly, and when people discuss issues rather than spew hatred. Sometimes that can change future behavior. Gaga's message has impact when people follow her example of kindness. Gaga changes the world every day just by being herself, just by living her life. I live outside the space time continuum.
twigsnasty 621
i am a newer fan, since 2015. my first song (other than the hits on the radio i've been hearing all my life) was venus. i kept hearing all of these fake demo snippets on soundcloud and i finally decided to check it out. i listened to venus. it was pretty good, and i was interested to see how the rest of ARTPOP sounded since i had only heard applause at the time. i remember i was in a car. i clicked on the first song. aura. i barely made it through the first minute. a month passes. im scrolling through music and i land back on ARTPOP. i decide to give it a chance. over time, i eventually loved the entire album. next up: born this way. first song. marry the night. it seemed like a really odd song to me. i could barely get thru government hooker. these songs were so out of the box i didn't understand it. i realized later on that "out of the box" is what makes gaga, gaga. i remember watching the artRAVE livestream & BTWB video crying, angry I would never get to see those runways, and that massive castle. now i listen to gaga more than once a day. LordEnigma 11,313
It’s almost like the first time I heard Just Dance, I knew I had found my celebrity. I instantly became obsessed but the moment it truly hit me was at The Monster Ball that was the first concert I had ever been to and the moment she came on stage and the scream from the crowd changed my life. Sailor 3,321
I was bullied for being gay, so I pretended not to be until Lady Gaga told me that it was okay. Prior to her, I had no idea it was something you didn't have to hide. I was just completely empowered by her. bannedT for life and it's SAD
