Never said he's a bad producer, just saying that the last song he made for Gaga is just the most generic thing Gaga has ever done, which doesn't sound really exciting to me.

I think he's good at the music that he makes, even if I'm not the biggest fan of it. His productions and remixes have a distinctively clean, broad sound, even for EDM. His basslines are usually wonderful.

I'm curious as to how that will meld in with Gaga's writing and production skills, which are likely much more sharp and rough and intense (if we're going by the consistencies between all her co-productions [literally all her songs lmao], and at Venus).

I'm actually more excited about the prospect of him co-producing alongside Gaga, rather than her featuring in one of his songs.

MTE. At worst his stuff can sound a bit bland, but I feel like her roughness and his pristine productions could balance each other out. His work is never shoddy sounding.

I haven't really noticed his trademark or his "sound" just listening to Joanne. Based on Britney's Better and Justin Bieber's Sorry (Just from the time they have played it everywhere, not that I listen to Bieber because I want to), he does have a very current 2017-ish sound with those noises in the background (The Cure?) that are catchy but I don't hear it in Joanne. I wouldn't mind if she doesn't work with him again just because I don't really care lol. At the end of the day it's Gaga's music and she's the boss and can work with Guetta and will i am (Fashion!) and make a great song that sounds nothing like they usually are known for.
