It's a shame tho, people here hating on Melodrama. Not every song needs to be something you can shake your ass to.

It's probably the same reason why people hate on Joanne too!

Melodrama, lyrically, happens to be one of the best albums in the recent years. 

It definitely should have won over Bruno atleast.

I've actually never seen Lorde as the new Fiona Apple  but for the first time I see where it comes from. They both are indeed great songwriters. But Fiona has that status. 

Melodrama still is one of the best albums of 2017 and yes, Lorde does have the potential to become the Fiona Apple of a new generation.

 

 

EDIT: I don't get why Cardi B gets a pass for her messy attitude but Azealia doesn't  her music is so much better. At least cancel them both.
