Gaga doesn't need a Grammy for validation. She should definitely boycott.

She shouldn't boycott. First of all, she perfectly knows, as well as all the industry, how the Grammys work. They do not award quality, but popularity (in some cases, they match (21, TFM, Royals)).

Second, it would be pretty hypocrite, since she has 6 grammys and still earns nominations (now that she didn't get a grammy she boycotts? What about 2010, 11 and 15? That would be very Nicki Minaj of her). 

Third, they invite her to perform literally every year (2015, 16, 17, 18). They give her a platform to perform, they nominate her, they promote her (the same way Gaga promotes herself as a 6 time grammy award winner), they have nominated every single work from her minus ARTPOP (TF, TFM, BTW, C2C, TIHTY, Joanne). 

Fourth, i don't think she should have won her categories. Pop Performance was Kesha's in terms of quality, Ed in terms of success. Pop album, Ed in success, L4L or Rainbow in quality.

Why she should boycott them? Next year she'll be there (again), winning and performing for ASIB, promoting LG6...calm down guys.

She has promoted Joanne differently to previous albums though. She was very much a part of the machine before which she isn't happy about. She is setting a different standard for her work by being a true to herself artist. She is paving the way for other artists to be free to express themselves the way a real artist should. Just because she won Grammy's in the past doesn't mean she should continue with the charade. She doesn't need their validation anymore.

how so? Promo for TFM/BTW/ARTPOP was the same as Joanne's (AMAs, SNL, GMA, X Factor, Victoria Secret FS, Radio interviews, Alan Carr, Howard Stern). If she wasn't happy about it, she'd have changed, but she did the same as other years. What's most, she amplified this by adding a Netflix Documentary, Super Bowl, Coachella (you call that not being part of the machine?)

no one's questioning her impact tho. She clearly isn't affected and anywhere near to boycott them, since she attended the ceremony less that 24hs ago, and she still tweeted about how grateful she was.
