TeenIdle 126,607
I know what you're gonna say "Let this old song go. We've heard enough of it" Hear me out... The whole evening was dedicated to the Time's Up campaign which is against sexual assault. In the midst of her performance Gaga even mentioned it but then proceeded to sing MR, a love ballad which has nothing to do with it. I think she should've finished MR the way she did, then mention Time's Up and sing a few seconds of Til It Happens to You. It would've made the performance even more emotional because it would've 1) paid tribute to Gaga's family with Joanne 2) honored the era with MR and 3) supported an amazing movement. And don't forget TIHTY was Grammy nominated! 𝖓𝖊𝖜 𝖗𝖊𝖑𝖎𝖌𝖎𝖔𝖓

He8MyHeart 9,765
Totally agree. If she finished with the chorus of TIHTY, that would've been so fitting and amazing.
DoremonLove 8,147
That would have been amazing but then she shouldve been called out for trying to hard and trying to make TIHTY happen so How can anoyone not love gaga

ryanripley 86,575
actually... yes but then that conflicts with closing the joanne era a little https://goo.gl/xMgMvJ

GypsyVida 5,933
"take my hand, stay Joanne.... tell me how the heII could you know, HOW COULD YOU KNOW? I've got a hundred million reasons to walk away, but baby I just need one good one to stay." Yeah nice idea but emotions would be all over the place and tbh I wouldn't know how I was supposed to feel during the performance. currently streaming Zombieboy

I agree but I guess MR can be interpreted in sooo many ways 'You're giving me MR to quit the show' - to leave the music industry bc all of this mess happens 'I bow down to pray, I try to make the worst seem better, lord show me the way to cut through all his worn out leather' - all the struggle she's going trough because of abuse of power and she turns to god (aka praying lol) 'I've got a hundred million reasons to walk away, but baby I just need one good one to stay' - she stays for the music etc... I know it's not the movement which is what Million Reasons was inspired by, but I guess a the lyrics of a song can be interpreted even if the author didn't think about it when she wrote it

TEANUS 15,111
This could’ve went good or bad given how the transition between MR and TIHTY worked. Joanne and MR worked but it was still kinda choppy and too quick. The violins would’ve worked better for TIHTY. She should’ve finished Joanne how she did, said “Times Up”, and then as Mark begins playing the intro from JWT make a quick little speech about “Times Up” and how she has a million reasons to walk away, but movements like this one are her one good reason to stay. Sing MR how she did, then let the violins play for a moment and make her way to the main stage. Sing a verse+chorus of TIHTY and BAM, more notable/ meaningful performance British social ladies with upturned pinkies, glasses clinking // xoxoTEANUS
Mr S 8,676
No it would be out of place. If anything, the Grammy producers should have skipped Kehsa because she sounded absolutely awful, and instead just played Gaga's Oscar performance from 2016.
