Charts: Joanne or MR?

Which one will be doing better after the surprise cameo of Million Reasons for the 1654786th time?

Will the one-minute performance of Joanne which missed the best bridge outperform MR?

Will MR re-peak after its #4 last year at #1 this year?

I wouldn't expect anything amazing for either tbh... MR is solidified as a classic in her discography now, and singing Joanne properly ended the era, so I'm happy with everything.

I think putting the two songs next to each other like that makes it pretty clear that MR is just the better song. It especially benefited from being a little more uptempo, and with strings and backup vocals added. She sang both beautifully, but Joanne just sounds kind of plain next to MR.

But that said, she did just release a MV for Joanne and far fewer people have already bought it, so it's possible that could give Joanne the edge.

I am salty that she didn't perform the bridge from Joanne :selena:

It's like literally the best bridge of any of her ballads :selena:

I'm here for million performances repeaking at #3 though :selena:

Sinner's Prayer will actually climb that charts, as the sinner (Ed Sheeran) needs to be Praying.mp3 right now.

Both should get a small bump... Joanne more so cuz even tho she sang MR better and it's the more iconic song, now theres a new version release and video of Joanne

But vocally I didn't find this the most outstanding performance she's done... I see only a moderate impact from this tbh

The potential would be so much more if she didn't get robbed by a ginger rat in the night :interestinga:

Tbh, I was quite underwhelmed with the performance - however, thinking back I think this was just because Kendrick Lamar's was SO AMAZING, that it was really difficult to follow, and was a bit of tempo changer.

Also, the Kendrick performance made me reminisce about the days that Gaga's performances were as avant garde and surreal as that one........ahh, oh well :(

I still feel cheeck to Cheeck and Joanne were image detox eras. Eras that were more about cleaning her image of the desperate crazy girl trying to get attention and proved she has talent and showed a simpler authentic Gaga

It may not be as cool or commercially huge but if she didn't do this image cleanse she'd just keep going downhill

Now if she goes back into edgier territory people will enjoy it again rather than criticize

Let's hope so! I loved the Joanne era, but looking around the rest of the Grammys makes me realise that Gaga's output quality (albeit not raw talent) is lacking behind her peers recently.
