She likes to promote things properly and take time with her eras. Also she sounded very passionate about the ASIB soundtrack in that interview she did early on. She will at least push one or two singles and give it a proper promotional run for at least 2 months (one month before the movie is out to promote the lead single and do interviews and maybe a couple of weeks while the movie is out). I cannot fathom the idea of an entire album between that time. I deff can see her releasing an album after ASIB. So like early 2019 perhaps with a lead single in super late 2018. The only thing that threw me off was the #2018RadioIsours but that could literally just be about a random one off single like TC or features that she might be on like the rumored Bloodpop song etc..maybe those producers that commented that are working on it with Bloodpop? Also isn't DJWS trying to release his own music? Maybe she is on a couple of songs for his own work? All in all we should not expect an album between the last date of the Joanne Tour and ASIB. It just won't make sense. There are no singles from soundtrack albums... So... no. Also, a note. Her comment about being tired and taking a break after the tour ended was at the peak of her pain. Right before she put her tour on hiatus. I think she got the break she intended to take after the tour ended, and will now be jumping right into finishing her album. Look at Trolls The Movie, ASIB classic soundtrack by Barbra, Titanic, Avatar Movies with Leona's single, Fifty Shades of Grey soundtracks, Whitney's Bodyguard, Dreamgirls (which was not a huge big budget movie), Hunger Games, Burlesque, Silvers Linings Playbook (which was a small budget movie starring Bradley Cooper as well about a man with bi polar disease) and those are just at the top of my head. Movies almost always get a lead single and it is almost always promoted a bit before the movie. Especially a movie that is about music. Also I am not talking about the hiatus/break comment she made. I am just saying that Gaga takes her time with eras. I just really doubt she'd release an album and promote it and all that stuff between March and September. It feels too crammed up. For a musical film, most times they wait until the film releases and then they may push a song that's getting a lot of buzz. Look at The Greatest Showman as an example of that. Gaga is making an entire soundtrack for it and she spoke passionatly about it. She is for sure pushing at least 1 single. It is going to happen. Especially for a movie around music. However, I doubt that ASIB will release a lead single from the soundtrack until a week or two before the movie's release. Also, gaga won't really be promoting the song that much that she releases. That’s why I said “if ASIB is the only problem”. You said it wasn’t and listed a few more which I’d agree with. I’m just saying that on its own ASIB is not enough to prevent her from doing stuff. La la Land didn’t promote its soundtrack and neither did Beauty and the Beast or the Annie remake. What I mean is that I have high doubts it’s going to be as much a push as people think it will. I mean, she filmed the movie and did Coachella the same weekend! By no means am I saying we’ll get LG6 in 2018, but what I actually said was that ASIB is not an obstacle enough to prevent it because it really isn’t. Again, having seen the movie, while of course they’ll push it it also depends on how well it is received by critics. If it’s dead on arrival then they aren’t going to give it a huge push of promo for the awards since it would likely lose. The only reason we see the promo we see for Oscar films now is because those films are all legitimate contenders for the prizes. Now, idk what else is coming out next year so I can’t say for certain whether it would get nominated but if the releases are like this year’s and the movie remains pretty much the same as the pre-screening I saw, then it won’t be nominated for the big categories. And with regards to Vegas I wouldn’t even factor that in yet because we have no details any which way on how the show will be. With Gaga, you really have to because you could have something like the Joanne stage which is timed or something like her stage from the Jingle Ball. She runs the gamut in terms of complexity. Plus, she has a fairly loose schedule for that. But more to the point, ASIB is most likely not some mini era thing or she wouldn’t be preparing so much around its release. She privy to more information than anyone. She knows her schedule and capability better than anyone and I think if she was thinking it would be a lot of her time she wouldn’t have a lot bubbling around it.
