So it's pretty ok to assume that Gaga is closing the Joanne era with the video but that got me wondering,

I don't really remember her closing the other eras like this. How did she close them?

„When this song is over, the clock will start ticking until the next time.“ - last artRave in Paris, right before she sang Gypsy

it's sort of like, my past is an unfinished painting..

And then she did the Paws Up. I loved that speech, soooo emotional

Actually The Fame Era ended with her most beautiful performance to date dying on stage while leaving the crowd #SHOOKETH to the core :staymad:

I personally feel like The Fame almost immediately streamlined into The Fame Monster, which was also streamlined into Born This Way. None of that ever felt truly over to me until she broke her hip, unfortunately.

ARTPOP began and finished on its own with the artRaves, although it definitely transitioned fairly easily into Cheek to Cheek, which also transitioned easily into American Horror Story.

Unless there is something that this era transitions into, this might be the first time I've felt like an era of hers was its own individual entity, in the context of time and transition. Fitting for Joanne to end with Joanne.

I remember the wait between The Fame Monster and Born This Way feeling extremely long. The Alejandro music video got released in June, and because The Monster Ball was going on we didn't get much else besides the VMA appearance in September. Then in February the lead single hit, and the first period of major teasing started :cryga:

Yeah, for the ARTPOP era we had the WW stream live of the last date of the ARTRAVE, she cried there and said goodbye, it was beautiful

I agree that the wait was super long, yeah. Maybe that was a testament of me being a new, young stan, that I was able to follow her day-to-day candids and MB performances through GGD.

She would be dropping new looks and new hints almost everyday. The MB transition definitely helped keep things interesting, haha.

Yeah but the transition between TFM and BTW was fair enough I think. She even added BTW (single) into the encore of the MB Tour. She even played Judas in some dates. And also, the MB DVD was released alongside BTW Album and Remix so, I think actually both eras blended together. Just as TF and TFM blended with the release of The Remix.
