But tastelessness is subjective. I see a lot of tasteless pop music; should we ban that genre? It's racist because hip hop is rooted in black culture. Don't impose the Western "multiculturalism" on everyone else that's an imperialist thought. Banning black people is definitely racist, but rejecting hiphop culture if they clash with their nation's ethics or belief is nothing unreasonable imo. They obviously mean MODERN "hip-hop" that includes all these awful new rappers off SoundCloud who are viral on Twitter and radio that are 98% swear words and have little to no effort into the lyrics/instrumental. It's a shame that it's even called hip-hop/rap when gold HH/rap was amazing. Clearly they won't/haven't banned classic hip-hop. China knows what's right because those songs are garbage.
