I personally view BTW as a highly empowering album, and she should've released Hair due to it's message. While Judas does have a message, the public just didn't catch her drift and the religous theme didn't sit well with them.  Not to mention as a promotional single it peaked at #12 while Judas peaked two spots higher at #10.

Singles:

BTW

Hair

TEOG

Yoü & I (US)/ Scheiße (WW)

Marry The Night

I love Hair but some of its lyrics are a bit :cryga:

but then again since when does GP care about lyrics, let's celebrate one of the top 5 songs on the album :golfclap:

Judas was not a very good choice as a single I think. Sounded like they wanted a Bad Romance 2.0 hit. I'd rather have You and I as a second single, or Edge of Glory.

Hair is one of my favourite songs, but I think Edge of Glory is within the same vibe and has greater single potential.

i think TEOG would have made the perfect second single

I mean Judas didn't do that bad considering it was released at the very end of the tracking week and still made it to #10. I think the only song that could've done better was TEOG. I love Hair but I think it fits better as an album cut

The era should of went something like this:

BTW, TEOG - straight to nr 1 no question, MTN, Y&I and lastly Hair ( or the last two the other way around )

Teog would been her biggest hit to date if released as 2nd single with epic video. I think hair should been an single but one of the last.

Yep TEOG outpeaked most of her career without being a single :poot:

It would debuted #1 if released as the 2nd single and had a radio deal.

Doesn't Interscope pick singles?

Yes, but I'm sure Gaga also has a say-so, not to mention she fought hard for Alejandro to be a single.

That's true. I forgot about Alejandro.
