Jupiter Drive 155
The fact that both Come to Mama and Hey Girl fade out (as well as several other Gaga songs) annoys me to absolutely no end. Fading a song out feels like such a cop-out and makes it seem as if both Gaga and the respective producer ran out of ideas. That being said, I've set out to edit every Gaga song that fades out and give it an actual ending - starting with Come to Mama and Hey Girl. Eventually, I'll update this thread to include every song that fades out, but this will most likely take me a while. NIGHTCRAWLER 6,985
why are you annoyed by the fade though?
Evan Peters 10,749
the fade matches the aesthetic of both songs tho. a majority of songs that use fade out is because having it just cut to an end doesn't sound right or because they want to make the transition into the next song more seamless, so i really wouldn't say it's a cop out for when they have no ideas. emma roberts is an abuser

I agree, and people usually fill that ending live, so they do wrap it up. I do like these edits tho, would like to hear more

But that "cop-out" reason reminds me of this video. You should watch it; it's interesting. I also used to hate fade outs but it's definitely not lazy. Wolf 1,328
The come to mama edit is good and it works perfectly I think Hey Girl is better with the fade tho.

I understand why some producers songs out, but I still can't stand it and it really bothers me for some reason. Even when I was younger and listening to the radio I could remember thinking that I want to hear the full song. Classical pieces are the exception, though. As said before some artists will fill that fade out with something during live performances. That works, but I don't ever think we're going to hear Hey Girl live, and I definitely didn't want to waste that sax riff that was recorded but never used in Come to Mama. 6 hours ago, VOLANTIS said: Can't wait to see what you do with Hair, Boy Boys Boys and Dance in the Dark. I already did Hair a while back, but I should probably redo it because it was a shoddy job.
