After sexual predator Matt Lauer was fired from the Today Show in November, the show has been in the process of choosing a new co-anchor to sit beside Savannah Guthrie (who has been co-anchor for 5 years). Today the show announced that long-time member of Today, Hoda Kotb, would be replacing Lauer. She will also continue to host the 10am program with Kathie Lee. Hoda has been with Today since 2008, and has been an anchor on the primetime show, Dateline. This is the first time since the show started in 1952, that two women have been the co-anchors of the show.
