I Don't Like Million Reasons

Ok, hear this girl out. I love Joanne. Sonically, lyrically, and emotionally. Million Reasons is my least favorite track on that album. I respect it and I appreciate what it means to people, but I don't like it sonically and lyrically. I prefer Angel DownJoanne, and Sinner's Prayer as ballads. The song simply doesn't strike me as special at all. I don't like what she does with her voice, and I don't like the way she sings it. I skip it always when Joanne is on shuffle. I made a Joanne playlist and that song didn't even appear on it. I'm sorry, I don't know what to do. Everyone loves it so much, but I can't grasp why. I'll be 100% honest, I think it's the weakest song of her career.

Love for everyone though, this thread isn't meant to insult anyone,

whxre.

I had a hard time with it at first, too. There are other songs like Million Reasons. When I first heard it, I was underwhelmed, because it is not one of Gaga's most original songs. And the very religious lyrics put me off. However, listen after listen, I realized why it wasn't that original: it was the sound of a human cry for help. As I started writing songs myself, that's what I realized; you're not always trying to be the new Picasso. Music is very therapeutic. And, for the religious lyrics, I got over that: she's been told since she was a child that God would always be there for her; thus, it's only natural for her to call God with her Telephone feat. Beyoncé for help in difficult times. That's how I started to appreciate it more and more. Also, some events in my life happened that made the song relatable for me. I now consider it as one of my favourite songs on Joanne because of all that. I'm not saying it's bad to not love the song; I'm just telling you, as you grow, you might not dislike it as much.
