Sorry, I can't even describe the amount of bs you're saying in this argument... Just because someone likes an idea of a politician, doesn't mean he likes all ideas the politician has. Is you're world really that black and white? I observed that in every argument we had and you had with others. You're always trying to find one negative thing wich is somehow connected to the case and then you repeat tha

Oh please, you are voting the AfD. :rip: I mean you bear some self-hatred considering they hate LGBT :rip: Gaga would be ashamed of you btw.

Where the **** is UK a superpower? :what:

1. It has nuclear weapons (Germany doesn't)

2. It is a permament member of the UN security council with a VETO right (Germany isn't)

3. London is rated as the world's second most influential city after New York

4. Global time and the Western and Eastern Hemisphere are based and established in England, which kinda make the UK the global reference point for geography

It may be true that the UK is not the same league as US and different than Russia, and that it's power is declining, so is the Western world in general, it still is though among the six most powerful countries.

I'm not that big on Europe as is, but this could be a good idea... however, not for a long time still...

the biggest problem with Europe right now is that it doesn't get anything done, cuz all states are sovereign... why I'm against this idea: the majority would be poor, uneducated, etc, cuz southern/eastern Europe have financial problems cuz of different reasons... this would set back the richer/western countries and the poor/eastern/southern countries won't feel the need to change anything, cuz they can depend on other countries... also, eastern Europe has been under USSR/Russian influence for too long, they are still against abortion/homosexuality/equal rights/etc, they need to get educated and get their corruption and work ethic sorted first

Basically this!

Coming from Eastern Europe i know how hard it is to do certain things and don't get me started on scholarships and stuff. We literally have no money to pay for competitions that our children WON  mind you and advanced to the internationals in Peru or India(yep, our country has no money to pay for the trip expenses for 5 people to Peru)! We also don't have the expenses to cover medical trips to Austria to help those who really need surgeries to live(over the past year a couple of them even died because insufficient money was raised)

It literally doesn't pay off to be a hard-worker in our country

Until then, this is Elvira saying unpleasant dreams.

And now you do the exact same thing. It's not connected in any way to the thing I just wrote, but you're trying to blame it on me. I repeated multiple times, that I absolutely don't hate LGBT people and neither does the majority of the AfD. But we don't have to discuss that, cause it's not related to anything in this thread.

I have lost ALL respect for you.

In their program it literally says

„Die AfD möchte eine gesellschaftliche Wertediskussion zur Stärkung der Elternrolle und gegen die vom ‚Gender-Mainstreaming‘ propagierte Stigmatisierung traditioneller Geschlechterrollen anstoßen.“

or

„Das klassische Rollenverständnis von Mann und Frau soll durch staatlich geförderte Umerziehungsprogramme in Kindergärten und Schulen systematisch ‚korrigiert‘ werden. Die AfD lehnt diese Geschlechterpädagogik als Eingriff in die natürliche Entwicklung unserer Kinder und in das vom Grundgesetz garantierte Elternrecht auf Erziehung ab.“

You are homophobic by just supporting that party. Disgusting.

Superpower is a term used to describe a state with a dominant position, which is characterised by its extensive ability to exert influence or project power on a global scale. This is done through the combined-means of economic, military, technological and cultural strength, as well as diplomatic and soft power influence.

Well, let us look into the influences one by one!

1. economic influence.

Because of the difference in population, we shall examine the GDP per capita rate, to give us a more objective understanding of each country's economy. According to IMF, the UK has a GDP per capita rate of $ 42,481, while Germany - $ 48,111. Germany, thus, roughly speaking, is wealthier by 13,2%.

2. military influence.

The UK legally owns nuclear weapons. End of story. I'm sorry to write such a horrible thing, but if there were ever a military conflict just between the UK and Germany, just between the two of them, the UK would've ended ha, again - this is just to underline that  we can't compare the military influence of a country with nukes and a country without nukes.

3. technological influence.

According to Eurostat, the turnover of high-tech manufacturing and high-tech services in Germany is 342,2 million euros, while in the UK - 289,3 million euros. However, keep in mind, that Germany's population is 82 million people, while UK's population is 65 million people. If you divide the high-tech manufacturing and services turnout among the population, you'll learn that one German citizen is worth 4,17 euros of high-tech, while one UK citizen is worth 4,46 euros.

4. cultural strength

it's way too subjective to judge; UK fans will come saying about English language being the most relevant foreign language in the world, while the German fans will point at Germany's philosophy school and romantic writers.

5. diplomatic and soft influence.

Germany does actively try to participate in the diplomatic regulation and tries to impliment soft power, I am not going to deny it. However, so far it has brought little progress about the war in Ukraine and the assault on democracy in Turkey; neither did it lift the struggles of the Syrian opposition. Putin, Erdogan, Syrian leader, and the North Korean leader tend to ignore diplomacy and soft power. The China government also doesn't listen to diplomacy when approached about the expansion to the South Sea islands.

So of all the presented criterias, can you add to the analysis and explain what exactly makes you  believe Germany is more of a superpower than the UK? :oprah:

The points they make, don't include hate. I think hate is a bit stronger than that. They wouldn't have elected a leasbian woman as their top candidate, if they all HATE LGBT people... But I have said multiple times in other threads, that I don't agree with this point in their program.  You don't have to agree with all points are party has, to support them. But apparently, your world is only black and white, just like Melechs.

It literally feels like you WANT me to hate LGBT people...

I've been thinking about this a lot and I must admit that there are some aspects of a united Europe that I think would be great. However, the biggest problem I have with this idea is that Europe is so incredibly diverse that I don't think making "one country" out of it would ever work. I know there are also many similarities. But I don't think someone from Portugal or the south of Spain could ever feel like belonging to the same country as someone from Bulgaria or from Finland. I know people would still keep their traditions, but I wonder how those traditions will change and be perceived by members of a culture and foreigners if the borders of the countries mix. Also, technically every European should speak English as a lingua franca. But from my experience, in Spain, Italy and France, English does not seem to enjoy a lot of significance in their education system, so there's also going to be a language barrier.

Anyway, I feel like I'm kind of neutral at this point so I'm just gonna wait and see how things turn out.

LMAO, the point you're making is 'I have a black friend, so I can't possibly be racist.' Bullshit.

Their Program is HATRED. Not only against the LGBTQ+ Community, but SO many minorities.

The reason why I am pointing the finger at you and why I see it 'black and white' is, because so was the option when it came to the Voting. Do you vote for this party yes or no? Yes you did. So you supported ALL of their program. If you REALLY cared about this point in their program or the LGBTQ+ Community YOU WOULD NOT HAVE VOTED FOR THE PARTY. But apparently, you don't care much for that point or the community because it CLEARLY didn't prevent you from voting.

The backlash speaks wonders. A united Europe...unless you don't want it, then leave! Should be enough of an indication to guess where this will lead...

Good luck to ya, it's gonna be a lonely world for Schulz.

The hardest thing in this world is to live in it

The leader of the AfD is a highly intelligent lesbian who is married to a dark-skinned migrant and did study in China, she loves her party as much as she loves her wife. How is this supposed to be a hate party? And by your own theory, Gaga would be ashamed of Merkel's party because Merkel voted against gay marriage?

But don't forget that:

- it is not relevant what the people of the EU think, because the EU is ruled by an undemocratic élite

-  Schulz' idea has the support of Macron (France)

- and that Merkel will agree on it to get into a coalition with him

- in Germany there will never be a referendum to ask the opinion of the people unlike in the UK

Thus Germany and France can make the idea of Schulz become reality.

I'm against the idea of les États Unis de l'Europe but it will likely become reality because the EU is already moving into this direction.
