I mean....okay, yeah, the USA is a whole debate about State's rights vs federal rights too. We basically just focus on federal politics more since there's more power there. It's not really a big deal. It can work okay. lol.

You don't think democracy is a big deal? :toofunny: Jesus, let's hope you don't run for a political position in the future.

Focusing on the politics that has 'more power' is completely absurd tbh in a supranational organisation that has such a vast democratic deficit.

Composed by who though? That's one of the current problems.

Idealistically speaking, citizens of that single unit, but we all know how unpredictable that could be most of the times, but i do agree with the thought that the whole of Europe should have more say in some of the things concerning the world! Also i think that the East and West (Europe) should work together to set aside some of their differences !

Until then, this is Elvira saying unpleasant dreams.

You are a Brexit supporter and you call me a xenophobic? :poot:

What does brexit have to do with xenophobia though? :toofunny: Such a pathetic display of ignorance.

But yeah, anybody who has seen you talk about the UK and it's people on more than one occasion would likely agree with me.

listennn i'm just saying it could work out, it's a big deal, but like...we're just talking about a tweet-length idea from a single german politician. I don't see a reason to be so opposed to the idea that some kind of United federalized Europe could work out. There are ways to do it democratically. That's why it would be a whole new constitution.

Brexit was a nationalistic and xeonophobic act considering one of the main points of the Brexit campaign targeted the European population in the UK.

What does the brexit campaign have to do with my individual vote?

Can you say with confidence that I voted to leave the EU because of immigration? If you think you can then you're lacking some brain functions. If you can't, how could you possibly infer that I am personally xenophobic?

All of it doesn't make a superpower ffs. :rip:

USA, China, Russia, EU. Those are superpowers. Not a small country with 50 million inhabitants. The UK will just continue to decline in the future.

Would you be so kind as to share the true meaning of the term "superpower" then? What is a superpower country, according to you? Because if we've got very different understand of what "superpower" means, we will never come to a conclusion.

Superpower is not an ethically positive thing. "Superpower", originating from the term "power", means a country that allows herself to behave the way it wants in the world politics and pursuing her national interests even when her actions contradict the decisions and opinions of other countries and are opposed by them.

With all respect, ever since 1945, Germany has been one of the rare examples of a country that always acts in accordance with the international law, Germany is very dutiful and diplomatic. Yet it's the UK that got into the Iraq mess without the UN approval, something Germany never did.

Well, you supported a xenophobic movement. It's kinda logical.

Superpower is a term used to describe a state with a dominant position, which is characterised by its extensive ability to exert influence or project power on a global scale. This is done through the combined-means of economic, military, technological and cultural strength, as well as diplomatic and soft power influence.

It wasn't a movement sweetie, it was a referendum. We all voted in accordance with our own beliefs. If some people voted on the basis of immigration then that's their prerogative. I personally did not so with that in mind do you or do you not still support your inference that I am xenophobic? It's a simple question.

Spoiler

It's not logical at all actually - just like saying voting conservative means you are a millionaire. Completely ILLOGICAL tbh.

You're so arrogant that it pains you to even admit that there could be more than one reason to contest membership of the EU.

Here we all are talking about how democratic the EU is (or isn't) and yet, you still ignorantly believe that some of us voted without reference to immigration.

Shame on you.

Such a vile display of xenophobia.

Controversial.

I wonder how many countries would join that Idea. Right now, there are distinct opinions about Europe in general. A USOE could possibly help some of the problems and countries with widespread poverty to gain financial substance.

I'm not that big on Europe as is, but this could be a good idea... however, not for a long time still...

the biggest problem with Europe right now is that it doesn't get anything done, cuz all states are sovereign... why I'm against this idea: the majority would be poor, uneducated, etc, cuz southern/eastern Europe have financial problems cuz of different reasons... this would set back the richer/western countries and the poor/eastern/southern countries won't feel the need to change anything, cuz they can depend on other countries... also, eastern Europe has been under USSR/Russian influence for too long, they are still against abortion/homosexuality/equal rights/etc, they need to get educated and get their corruption and work ethic sorted first

Sorry, I can't even describe the amount of bs you're saying in this argument... Just because someone likes an idea of a politician, doesn't mean he likes all ideas the politician has. Is you're world really that black and white? I observed that in every argument we had and you had with others. You're always trying to find one negative thing wich is somehow connected to the case and then you repeat that thing so often, that the other person wants to give up. It's worthless to spend time with such an ignorant way of discussion.
