I respect Taylor for coming out and being vocal about her situation, but at the same time, wouldn't someone like Kesha be better? Kesha made a come back with Praying, and for the longest time, she was fighting Dr. Luke about the sexual assault allegations.

I'm not saying this to shame or bash Taylor, but at the same time, I can see Demi's point of view.

Yeah, I don't want to discount what Taylor went through, but she's really not the first person that comes to mind when it comes to women speaking up and going against the system. Kesha and Rose McGowan came to mind because they both bravely put their careers in jeopardy. It takes a certain type of courage to be the first to come forward against someone very, very, powerful.

I think TIME wanted to interview Trump to ask him questions about sexual assault allegations against people like Roy Moore, some Democrat politicians, and to give his opinion on the #MeToo movement.

And THEN they'll post that interview like inside this issue to make him look hypocritical or something. I think Demi's response was a bit dumb, but yes Kesha should have been there.

Her rant is pointless. TIME magazine's Person of the Year award goes to someone or a group who's had some major influence that year whether it be good or bad.

Trump won last year and he deserved it. He SHOOK the political world.

The allegations against sexual assaulters have shaken the entertainment industry and the political world. Major implications have come from this. The US Senate is being shaken at this very moment. They deserved it this year.

This :applause: Its about influence and change.

I mean, the POTY title isn't just about making a positive difference. The whole point is to represent individual(s) or movements that have influenced the year, for better or worse.

Exactly.

She seems to not understand the purpose of the list
