Well flopped as in terms of her success back then is a valid comment. It was a smart move to work on her next album and to progress into her career, if she had pushed out another single from TFM and waited longer for BTW I don't think it would have done her any favours.

If she did release another single I see something like Monster, Speechless or even Teeth doing a lot better, I think they would have worked better in terms of the GP and would have sold more

She wouldn't have to wait longer to release BTW. She could've released the fourth single mid July.

DITD was already a single in my country (Poland) and it did pretty well in the radio.

I remember the first time I heard it and it was a night of the shooting stars in August 2010 and they played the intro and I was slayed af

I think Dance In The Dark was planned, but Monster would’ve been a better choice

Back in the day I remember hearing Monster on the radio in my city and thinking it was the new single after Alejandro. But they were just playing it randomly. It was meant to be a smash. I love Dance in the Dark too though, and I think it would have done well back then.

Same. Monster was being randomly played on the radio at the time, but nothing was ever done with it and it faded along with Gaga's attention after the hit single, Alejandro.

The future's uncertain and the end is always near.

I really think she should've done Speechless. The GP did not really appreciate Gaga's vocal talent back then and needed to see a ballad with low production and acoustic voice. One of the reasons people started turning against her was that they thought she was a talentless sex doll just like most other popstars and a "real" singer like Adele was rising.
