released their album the same year during the submission eligibility period for the Grammys? Imagine this for 2018's:

1st nominee- Adele, 25

2nd nominee- Beyonce, Lemonade

3rd nominee- Taylor Swift, Reputation

4th nominee- Lady Gaga, Joanne

5th nominee- (male nominee)

Joanne and Reputation would cancel each other out. It all depends who the male artist is. If say Shitrat is the male, he and Taylor would also split votes. He could also split votes with 25 (but the former is more likely). If the male is urban/hip hop then Bey and this guy would split votes and Adele would come out victorious. If he's country, then Adele would still come out victorious (Sturgill aka the potential Beck of the 2017 Grammys was country). The real battle would still be Adele vs Bey, but Bey would have a somewhat bigger chance this time around.

25 will win and that's final. 25 won Lemonade's votes by a margin and it's not even close :gaycat:

If that happened, Joanne would be completely overshadowed by Taylor's popularity, Lemonade's reviews and Adele's success. Thank god that didn't happen, because we would be even more frustrated.

As much as I love Gaga way more than these other girls, I gotta admit she would stand 0 chance against them :selena:

And that’s just the ugly, depressing truth :selena:
