Cut paparazzi aka one of her best songs?

She needs to cut telephone, i can’t stand that song anymore

She could cut Telephone too.

Simply because a dog is one of her best songs doesn’t mean it doesn’t need to be cut. If she will continue to release albums and tour them, she can not realistically keep performing the exact same songs ten fifteen twenty years into her career.

you really think Gaga can keep selling tours years into the future if the setlist would contain the same "hits"? stop being delusional

Not with all of the same early hits she had, no, but she's already proven herself to be more than a hits artist. She doesn't have to rely on them, it was just her Super Bowl year and she herself said it was a look back on her career so far which explains why she only performed her big hits in February and is on this tour in addition to Joanne. The half-time show brought back a lot of casual listeners who obviously wanted to hear what they already knew from her. Every artist has their staple songs, and you can't go suggesting that they scrap all the songs they are known for :ladyhaha:

But that doesn't mean she has to keep doing the same setlist with all the old hits every tour or for the next one. Tbh she could scrap all the hits but like 3 and everything else be album songs and everyone would still go see her live. Of course a new hit or two would help, but I don't think she absolutely needs it. Her name, hype, and status as a high-profile, stellar performer sells itself at this point. She doesn't really need big hits anymore to sell that. They only add and expand to her brand as an artist and performer.

It still doesnt make sense how Beyonce is single chart poison. Like HOW could a single with her and Eminiem flopped this hard. Heck, even The Cure outsold them:deadbanana:

i think is most because the song is boring  :selena:

surprisingly Mi Gente is still top ten

i don't know if agree or disagree cause she's a popstar to the GP after all and popstars needs hype (wich comes from hits albums and new hit singles) to sell concerts.

for example Madonna , her tours has been  always amazing but even with that touring force status  the RHT was less succesfull than the MDNA (wich has the SB hype) when we talk about current demand because the album wasn't a GP event and none of the singles become huge , yet Bruce Springsteen , The Rolling Stones , Metallica  ,U2 ,etc still are sold out even without mainstream hits becuase they are rock artist and their loyal fans always buy their albums.

i mean the joanne re-invention was huge in the USA but in my country and mostly in the rest of the  world  she's still seen as a popstar/ meat dress girl.....

i see your point that gaga is truly more than a pop star(i agree) but what really matters after all is the GP opinion.

i realised about this cause i read an article about how rock fans are more loyal than pop ones and that says it all.

Grammys 2014 was the last time Gaga's face looked like "old Gaga" or "Fame Gaga." It's the closest it's ever came to that, in my opinion. Since then it never really went back. It doesn't mean she's ugly now - this year she's been looking hotter than ever, imo, Coachella for example. It's just... not the same face.

Just a random thought I had lmao.

You mean 2015?

I would say Oscars 2015, but the point still stands, yeah.

But lowkey, I also feel like it's not just her and Epione. Like, sometimes her face looks way thinner, and it's almost like she goes to Epione to kind of mitigate that. I noticed it mostly in the documentary, so I just attributed a portion of that change to her stress and illness.

Now that that's out of my system, when will her label finally certify Just Dance? Lmao

3 points in and ready for more

re di tutto

I’d rather see Gaga doing Dance In The Dark, So Happy I Could Die, Monster, Marry The Night, Government Hooker on her next tour than performing Poker Face, Just Dance, Lovegame, Telephone, Paparazzi etc over and over again. Bad Romance is the only exception, she can perform it forever.

Telephone can go tbh lovegame can be cut from everywhere but the USA I would rather have Alejandro and BR be the only singles she preformed from tfm

I take your point and I agree that she still needs something that creates the hype so to speak such as with a recent or current hit that raises her notoriety enough after a long hiatus from music or when it's been awhile that she's been in the limelight such as in between an album or era.

But we don't know what will happen in the future, especially with what has happened in US recently, maybe she'll be different from past pop stars and carve out her own large niche that appeals across different audiences with different genres and tastes in music. C2C and Joanne have certainly shown that it is possible, and when you consider the broad and diverse array of people who show up to her concerts, I'd say she is generally appealing across different relevant factors like age, race, sexual orientation, etc.

Only time will tell if she continues to do so or whether a future tour will bring back the success and audience of the JWT. There has only been one Gaga and she could end up being in her own lane for all we know and keep having a more loyal fanbase such as how a rock artist does. A new hit or two would certainly help with that, but new music in general (regardless of it being a hit or not) could keep her fanbase and audience coming back from more no matter how big her newest music is.

Her Top 5's will stay on her tours. Sorry y'all. MR is also a new staple for future tours. Nobody except screeching die hard fans wants to hear those album tracks. and we make up <20% of who attends her tours now. Maybe even less.

agree , gaga's career is so unique and unpredictable (as usual) but one thing for sure is that the media is on her side this time and i hope that last.

I’m just here to say Paparazzi is one of her best songs ever and sounds amazing when performed live. She needs to perform it fully on every show for the rest of her life

We all know who's the best. Who cares if she sells more. She's already sold more than most humans. Joanne wasn't TF.

We all know this. No big deal.
