I still have hope

Thinking about all the rumours, I realise we never had anything completely concrete.

The only thing that sticks though is DJWS's post:

He's not talking about an album here, he's talking about a song. The lyrics of it are locked in and he's describing how meaningful they are, and how the song will be played on radio and will therefore be a single.

Logically, why tease a lead single now that won't be released until the new year. It doesn't make any sense. The timing of this post only a week or two within this random performance announcement makes me think that Gaga actually is planning on debuting at least a single, be it a Joanne b-side or a lead single of future work.

I'm not just saying this for the sake of it, and she could well be just streaming The Cure to have presence at the awards and show off the production of her tour. But I think objectively there remains hope, and Gaga has never been so vanilla if that's what she does and only that.

EDIT: Her Tudor watch commercial also seems to indicate that she's ready to start a new era.

I THINK THERE IS A SUSPICIOUS THING THAT AMAS ANNOUNCED LADY GAGA WILL PRFORMING WITH "THE CURE"?! IT'S A SHADY BECAUSE I REMEMBER THAT THEY ARNT ANNOUNCED ANYONE WITH SONG TITLE PERFORMANCE.
