Would it be wise for Gaga to release LG6 before or after ASIB?

That literally means nothing though. Don't you remember RedOne hyping LG5 back when she was working with him? And what happened to that? LG5 didn't come out for another year or more and was completely different. 

Just saying DJWS hyping things doesn't mean anything. Gaga is the one who makes the decisions and he most likely has no clue when anything will be released. Plus things can always change even if he does know something.

You only have to remember what happened with LG5 to realize that.

He said "soon". Which while musicians don't seem to get grasp what that word means, most likely means it'll be out within the next year.

Redone was never as explicit about the album coming soon as DJWS is being rn. 

DJWS and Gaga have been in the studio together quite a bit lately and from the way he called the album "ARTPOPs little sister", the album must be fairly along in the process. Then he said that it's coming soon. I don't see why we shouldn't expect him to have an idea of when the album is coming. Gaga probably tells him this ****. They are BFFs after all and he's working on the album with her. 

While something could change, right now I think we have enough to reason to believe that the album is coming along smoothly and we sound be able to take DJWS at his word that the album will come "soon"

If she gets major attention to herself with LG6, ASIB will have free promo. Like everyone will know Lady Gaga is having a film out

I get what you're saying, I just think it's too early in the process for LG6 to be thinking about it getting released so soon. Especially with how much time it takes Gaga to complete a project like an entire album.

Any Gaga fan should know that "soon" is a code for "never" or "in a while"

I don't know much about movies, but I don't believe that the soundtracks get promoted a whole bunch, unless it's a blockbuster film or unless she plans to release a standalone single that's from the soundtrack.

Unless she's contractually obligated or something, I think that it'd be great to have her new era of music running side-by-side with ASIB. That way, she can promote the movie and promote the album at the same time. 

I agree with this. But, I said after because I know she'd like to focus heavily on the music without distractions. That being said, I agree that soundtracks don't get that much promotion. Usually only specific songs, if anything. With 50 Shades, I didn't really see them promoting the soundtrack that much, even though it had some good artists in there.

Well Gaga has finished albums in the time period she would need tomfor the OP to make sense. In fact, both TFM and BTW were finished in a year and a half. 

And also the op isn't implying the album is coming in 2 weeks. The question is basically "would it be better to release before May (6 months) or after?". So it'd be quite a while.

Byonce released B'Day 3 months before the Dreamgirls. I would like gaga to follow the same path.

She'll be busy touring until March and the ASIB will start right afterwards. I honestly don't understand why anyone would expect LG6 to come anytime soon.
