Pirating is a form of saving money. I mean, streaming has probably cut away a lot of pirating, but not all of it.

I coudn't possibly afford everything I have downloaded in the last year, let alone the last few. Games, anime, manga...

I still enjoy it all though. I draw those characters, write fanfics, if I love something I still love it, even if I didn't spend money on it. Hell, that may make me love it more.

I saw the #reputationleakingparty thread and though I’m not that big of a fan of Taylor’s, you have to stop! It’s disrespectful to all the hard work Taylor put into this album and I can imagine if I was Taylor Swift, how sad I would be to hear this. Remember how upset Gaga was when Joanne leaked? Unless if it is leaked by the artist itself (@BorisIsHere teas), it won't be legally just to leak the content of the song.           Some artists had been releasing the leaked singles themselves for years:

Cher (Woman's World has been leaked and has needed to be released three days earlier prior)

Gaga (Bad Romance and Alejandro has been leaked and somewhat has been the reason for the cancellation of Boys Boys Boys.)

Britney (I heard somewhere Britney needed to release somehow Gimme More due to a leak.)

They don't decide when to release it. Record labels do. It's all about money.

If artists were trully free we would have tons of Gaga's music, (ARTPOP act 2, unreleased songs, the original LG5.......)

Just remember about gaga leaking AURA because the record label didn't want to make it the lead single.
