She’s not suing because they’re criticizing her politics, that’s a misleading headline.

Never once has she came out and said she supported the KKK or stood by White Supremacists and she has every right to sue them because they’re using a false narrative. I hope she gets them for defamation of character, libelous slander, and for using her name.

its not okay for people to think that she should be compared to Hitler.

I doubt people even read these. It’s not like a popular newspaper wrote that. There are thousands of articles like that.

The article in question criticized Taylor Swift's political stance on refusing to comment on politics altogether, while also addressing that she has become an Icon of Neo-Nazis. The author asked Taylor to just say "Nazis are bad. I'm not one." and now the journalist is getting threatened by Taylor's lawyers.

It's her prerogative to not disclose her opinions, but wouldn't it be a lot easier to just make a statement saying "I don't support Nazis and I refuse to become a playing doll in their twisted mindgames" instead of suing somebody who is urging you to make a statment?

No, because they should have never compared the two in the first place or used her name in their article. It’s like you’re saying, if she has to go to social media to speak on it, she’s playing into their game because she brings more publicity to them and their respective article

Taylor, sis... how about try tweeting that the story is false instead of sending your lawyers after everyone who even slightly wrongs you :air: I don't get this girl.

she hasnt made a regular tweet in months... And something that is as ridiculous as this... like would you justify yourself for something so ridiculous?

When the article was first published , it had around 80k retweets on twitter and all of the SJWs were eating it up, it’s messed up to see how far people go to treat a person like trash

She shouldn’t have too, she’s an entertainer, some people just don’t like to be so outspoken. It’s not a crime to not go and tweet something. & she shouldn’t have to come out and say she’s not a white supremacist, because the only reason people are using that against her is because she’s a very famous and very successful white entertainer .

I understand what you mean. I'm not even asking her to open up about all of her political views. It's just that white supremacists are using her name to promote their hateful messages and call Taylor their Aryan queen. Shouldn't she at least denounce it? It's not that hard for her

In her position I would ignore the article entirely since its from such an obscure site, certainly wouldnt send lawyers after them.

I don't know about you, but if MY likeness was abused by Nazis, I'd call up every lawyer possible to prevent my pictures being used in such a context any further, instead of suing the person that brought this to my attention. I'd probably send them a basket of flowers instead for bringing such abuse to my attention.

:duck: nobody's out to get her, at least not always. Criticism can be good, and if she didn't want to give publicity to the article she should have just ignored it.

Is this real though? How many people has Taylor ACTUALLY taken to court like everyone claims? Anyways if it is true I'm disappointed, but as a journalist you can't just put whatever you want into the world, there are consequences to slandering someone.

Well, she has millions of social media followers. She might as well denounce it and get 1 million retweets.
