I kinda wish she did smth in the vein of bang bang with a few other really famous female singers but I feel like she'd never do it

Sometimes she comes off as quite insecure in her refusal to collaborate with her contemporaries/other women. Beyoncé I think is kind of a heritage act in ways, and Florence is more indie than pop. She has little interest working in anyone successful, modern, or female which is puzzling because she could do something really great with them.

i wish the ACTUAL one was with Iggy Azalea, Azealia Banks and Nicki Minaj but that would be messy cause iggy was getting racist accusations, azealia was getting draggedt for having a bad attitude and nicki was featuring on 3947373734737 other artists

She's been around for 20+ years and was already an established solo artist/household name when they did Telephone. She's not her contemporary like Rihanna or Katy are, who came up around the same time. Beyoncé had already been in Destinys Child and had 3 big solo albums before they met. I see Beyoncé more on Britney or Christina's level/from that era

Insecure for choosing not to work with her contemporaries? :oprah:

Yeah sometimes it comes across that way. I know I just said Beyoncé wasn't her contemporary, she isn't, but I think you can even see the insecurity in the comment she made about her in 5FT2. She seems to really want to distance herself from other women in pop. That's why I think the Madonna comments bother her so much, she wants to prove she's not like Madonna and more musical than her. The way she responded in the Zane Lowe interview was overly defensive, because she does have a similar story to Madonna that's undeniable. If she was a bit more secure in herself she would be open to working with other women in pop IMO. Its just an opinion I have, still love her to death but its a shame she doesn't want to team up with more pop forces. Which is pretty confirmed, as I'm sure EVERYONE was begging for a collab in 2009-2011, even Madonna asked her to come perform with her in 2012.

I think it would be cool to see her work with many contemporary artists in pop. Like someone suggested a Bang Bang or Lady Marmalade type song. Rihanna, Katy, Adele, Lana all come to mind. Even Madonna or Britney who aren't her generation.
