I didnt meant the add, c'mon now. The add is great! Question was about piano skill and there lack of when it comes to being  a classical pianist (and the illusions and notions on this site on that regard).

Meh. I view it more as an opportunity to spread classical music. She’s not saying she’s an expert at classical music. She’s just referencing it in this commercial. I just think it’s cool that they added a poppy variation to the original theme. “Born to Dare” as in  - I’m going to be daring enough to take this classical music staple and put my own spin on it.

Oh that's indeed great. As I said above, I meant some monsters attitudes and proclamations, not the add. Gaga has never even pretended to be a classical pianist,it's some monsters that hail her as Beethoven. And she is a great pianist for a pop musician. But enough with this topic.

Also, are you seriously "daring" Gaga to post a clip of her playing the piece? Are you seriously questioning her piano skills? She's been playing piano since she was a child, she's proven time and time again that she is disciplined at it. There's literally no need for you to make a huge deal out of this.

 

This is an off-topic comment but I feel that this is an attitude many people in the Western classical world of music have, perhaps because their teachers did. I've been learning voice for a while and my teacher literally told me, "You can barely read music, like you're not a musician." That's just false (I read music, play the piano - for which I read music duh, sing) and was hurtful to me. Reeks of elitism to me but I guess that's how the tradition has been.
